Knoebels Park - Phoenix Roller Coaster [Video]
Author: Tom
We visited Knoebels Amusement Park while in Pennsylvania. Vicki “forced” me to ride the Phoenix Wooden Roller Coaster. We had a blast! Listen for the “Oooo” and “Ahhh” from Vicki. It was GREAT!
In the video: Tom (me) holding camera, Tracy is next to me, Vicki is behind her and Randy is next to Vicki.

Tammy’s parents were already in Pennsylvania. We drove up there and parked the RV. We texted Tammy’s mom expecting a certain reaction. It worked! We texted “What are you doing?” (we knew the answer). Her mom said: “Cooking out”. We replied “Mmmmm. Sounds yummy. We want some”. Her mother replied: “Well, come on up!”. We drove up shortly afterwards. 1647 miles in a few minutes? No, we were there. The surprise is better than we could have expected!

DANGER!

Mr. Hower was playing frisbee with us and I threw it bad and the little power thing in the picture (left) tackled him! OUCH! He is ok. Thank goodness!

Good morning
Author: Tom
We got up and fixed a bunch of coffee. Theresa and I pulled out the awning and replaced the strap that I broke the last time that I took the trailer out. Tammy is making pancakes and eggs. The boys estimated the time to be ten in the morning. I let them know that it was just 8.
They are playing with the football that we got at Dave and Busters. They have also utilized the tar out of the little rubber frisbee that we got for the trailer.
At six this morning, the dogs insisted that they had to go potty. When I took them out, there were dozens of squirrels in the trees. The trees are really big and nice. Not a cedar in sight. Ya have to love that!
Cool door mat

I got this cool mat from my long time friend, Chad Capet. It is really coming in handy! It is durable and cool looking to boot!
Dinner is done
Author: Tom
We finished dinner. Everyone went swimming but me. I got ice at the store. They are back from swimming. Phillip wants marshmallows and television. Brandon is bouncing around. But this is camping, guys. I guess its tough for kids to grasp.
I overheard something about the river tomorrow. I don’t know…
Our area

Just past our area is the river. I should say that it is just a dry piece. It is a nice drop off. Pretty view.
At Pecan Park Campground

Tammy and I came with Theresa and the boys.
It is a nice park with a dog play area. It feels very natural here and it is quiet.
I have the trailer set up and everything is running at full steam.
I’ll try to update with better pictures later.

We went to the RV dealer today to have them install a MaxxAir TurboMaxx on our travel trailer. We decided to visit the travel trailer since we were in the neighborhood. I was trying to show Tammy where we would be sleeping.
The appliances are just so cute. Little versions of the real thing!
The little couch folds out into a bed.
Tammy posing in the kitchen.
Goodbye little trailer! We’ll be back soon.
Getting in to the RV “sport” is expensive.
Author: Tom
So, we had to throw down on a bunch of “start-up” items for the travel trailer. We got the normal stuff: water filters, patio mat, water pressure regulator, awning repair tape, fans for the refrigerator, level, leveling blocks and wheel chucks. This was a small fortune. I hope that people consider the added costs when getting in to the RV game. It’s not like we went out and bought a new compact disc player for it or something. This is normal stuff. Do your research! We had this budgeted already. Oh! I almost forgot. We also picked up the generator today! Another HUGE expense. But worth it when we are without power.–Tom
Holy Moly! It’s heavy!
Author: Tom
I got the hitch for the RV in the mail today. IT IS HEAVY! It is all solid steel! I ordered the Equal-I-Zer WDH/4-way sway control (1,000/10,000). It came really fast. I read the shipping weight and it was 78lbs. I didn’t think any ONE piece would be that heavy. Well, all pieces are really heavy. I’m just amazed. I am glad we are not handicapped in any way. This requires some lifting.

The Travel Trailer Has a Name!!!
Author: Tom
Recently we have had a financial boost from a family member. We also have had the good fortune of selling my house. We are at a good point in our life and it is looking good at this moment. Life is going in the right direction and we are happy. So… In recognition of her outstanding work as a mother, our new Jayco 26 BH is named after her - ANNELIESE! This picture will be hanging proudly where you can see it as you walk in.

Well, the house is sold! My truck is on order. Tammy’s minivan is on order. All looks great. Last night, Tammy and I went to the RV dealership at about 17:00. We were leaving by 18:30 (Tammy had a phone meeting for work) after buying our 26′ travel trailer! Yep, we did it. It’s ours and they are going to keep it until the truck arrives. I explained that it could be from 30 to 90 days and they were OK with that. I also already have the electronic brake controller for the truck and it is waiting to be put in. I ordered the hitch last night. I went with the Equalizer sway/WDH. We are ready to go and have some fun! We can’t wait!
