Author: Tom
On the 6/29/2008, Tammy and I were lucky enough to get another ULTRASOUND! She is 15 weeks, 3 days pregnant in the video. My sister hooked us up. She works at a hospital and got us a run on the machine. An ultrasound technician did it for us a little bit and then let us use the machine OURSELVES! Is that cool or what? Total video time is 30 minutes so it is divided in 4 parts. My cell phone made some noise in the videos - sorry ’bout that. For me, there are some really amazing moments in the video!

Up since 04:00 today.

I have been up since 04:00 this morning. The little dog woke me up and told me that she needed to go pp. I don’t push her to go back to sleep when she tells me because I can only imagine her bladder is the size of a pea. I reluctantly took them both outside. While outside, I heard a car alarm. I was not worried that it was ours because the keychain would also go off. I went out front to check what vehicle was going off and it was MINE! Darn it. The battery was dying since I have not been driving it. I guess the alarm notices a low voltage and yells until it cannot yell anymore. Tammy said that she heard the alarm at 03:00 so it had been going on for some time. Oops. I had to rush and get the charger to disable the alarm. It requires a full 12 volts to activate/deactivate the alarm. Sheesh. What a way to wake up. I’m sure the neighborhood loves me. So, the battery is fully charged now but I have been up since 04:00 running my head off.
05:00 Gas in Truck for weekend and car wash. Got breakfast for me (Tammy ate).
07:00 Picked up Anneliese TT and took it to the shop to get the stabilizer jack fixed.
08:20ish dropped off the trailer at the dealer and at 08:30 joined conference call.

11:45 Picked up Annelies TT from the dealer. Didn’t expect to get it today. Bummer.
12:15 Dropped it back off in storage.
Pooped.
12:55 Getting in shower.
We’ll see what the rest of the day has to offer! It’s been a boatload of fun so far… It’s nappy time (I wish)!
She is official.

Toyota Tundra camping with Motor Trend [Article]
Author: Tom
It’s always refreshing to see a good review on something that you just bought. It is a joy to drive.
Here is a little video of me towing the travel trailer with the new Tundra. It did pretty good but the gas mileage stunk. It should get better as the engine gets broken in.
Towing the trailer:
161.6 miles @ 7.56 MPG (22.803 gallons)
137.8 miles @ 8.74 MPG (15.764 gallons)

I give you a quick tour of the inside of the travel trailer and a recap of events.
Bug with the Flash video files.
Author: Tom
I know there is a bug with the Flash video files on the main page of the blog. You can click each entry individually and see the files. I’m sorry but I don’t have time to fix that right now.

We got hungry while waiting for the truck. I asked that we just go somewhere close to the dealer. She selected Mexican. Ya-hoo! So, we are waiting on our table.

We are getting close to the end of the night. We have had a long day with work and getting this thing set up and configured the way we want it. It should be ready to take to Corpus with us next weekend. So far, this thing is really nice!

Tammy wanted a wedge salad. Here we are. I am going to eat the grilled chicken as I have to drop some tons.
Earlier today, I arranged the weekend with the trailer place if my truck doesn’t make it here on time. I also had them attach the ball to the hitch since I don’t have a socket large enough. 1 7/8″ is a hard socket to find!
Oh! Steph’s car looks nice!
Looks like Jason’s for dinner.

Looks like she has had enough of looking at me like this all day. She wants to get Jason’s Deli for dinner. Time to go eat!
Quick lunch

Tammy wanted hotdogs. Sonic was the closest and fastest choice. As we got in the extremely hot car, Tammy changed her mind. So, Taco Bell it is.
Gravatars implemented
Author: Tom
I have implemented Gravatars. They are simple universal pictures around the interwebs. If you make a comment or a post somewhere, they do a quick MD5 checksum on your email address and incorporate that in the URL. So, your email is safe and it is a simple lookup. Gravatars are free. They just work when you make a post somewhere that supports it.
WordPress 2.5+ have built-in support. It’s really easy to do. Here is how I did it:
<?php
$gravatar_email = get_the_author_email();
echo get_avatar( $gravatar_email, $size = ‘40′);
?>
Sad communication.

I am in the office and Tammy is in the livingroom. We communicate via iChat video. Apple computers rule!

We took on Stephanie’s car. Now grabbing a quick lunch. Her car should be done Thursday. Fast work.
Automator Rocks!
Author: Tom
Since I have been putting videos on the blog, I have to create the Flash video, upload the file, find the embed string that I have to paste in the post and then put it in the post for viewing. I use a computer. Computers should do work, not me. I wrote a Finder plugin with Automator that does all of my stuff for me. I just right-click on my Flash video and then select the correct plugin action. It renames the file and uses the Transmit actions to send the file to the server. Then it opens a TextEdit document with the entire text to paste in the document. Voila! Done. OS X rules!

Not only is this video really cool, it is something that I cannot do. I can’t draw a straight line with a pen/pencil let alone with a computer.
Check out the video.
Rock out with your…

Yea, I’m a geek. I’ll drink while computing. I have nothing better to do at the moment. Tammy is working on Stephanie’s car currently.
I just made a favicon.ico for tammyandtom.com. I will just sit here and nerd out a bit rocking some odd and off the wall music.
Favicon.ico - That little icon in the URL

Did you ever want to create a nice looking icon for the URL in people’s browsers? I do and I found a nice write-up here:

This is very thorough and easy to follow.
