Animal Brady Family

Author: Tom

I have started calling the animals Brady names. Ibbi is Marsha because she is the beautiful one. I often pet her saying “Marsha, Marsha, Marsha..”. Wikki is the little jealous middle aged one, Jan. She always seeks the attention when we give some lovin’ to “Marsha”. Dali is a male cat. He is the oldest. I also wouldn’t be suprised if he didn’t like other male cats… So, he is the gender challenged, Greg Brady.
It is interesting that my little family can be summed up by a TV show.

If you come to Fredeicksburg, spend your money in this place. Great German food! Good prices. Large selection of beer!
I had Rouladen with German potato salad and spatzle. Tammy had a rueben. They were both outstanding! Bill was $7 less than lunch! Go to The Auslander!

I like the arcitecture here in Fredricksburg. It’s all really old- timer-ish looking. Nice stuff. Well kept too.
The building is the Old Gillespie County Courthouse. Erected 1881-1882. It is a historic landmark.

UPDATE: This has been turned in to a library…

Man! My back teeth were floating! No businesses allow you to use their restroom. That stinks! We finally found a public restroom at the end of the road. I’m pissed (pardon the pun)!

Der Lindenbaum

This place is in Fredricksburg, TX. The food was good BUT:

  • A stein here is a glass
  • Portions are kids sizes
  • You have to ASK for bread (not offered)
  • The menu is inaccurate
  • I just paid $38.75 and we are still hungry
  • They only accept discover, American express and checks. None of which I have.

Staff sucks too.
Don’t waste your money or time here!

I wanted to suprise Tammy and asked if she would be ok with a road trip. We should be stating close to the hospital but we are getting stir crazy. I programmer my spiffy new GPS and we were on our way. We came to Fredeicksburg, TX. It’s only 80 or so miles from the house. We are going to walk and shop a bit. Stopped at a german food place.

I went to the local hotels today to get average pricing.  I’m sure you can use Priceline.com or something to get the prices down.  These are their normal rates (as of today - 11-19-2008@~16:00).  Also, there is an entire map included and the address of the hospital for when this all happens.

We’ll see everyone soon!

A thank you gift

So, yesterday, I was working on the computer on stuff for my brother. Tammy comes back from pre-registering at the hospital and hands me a bag. The bag had a wonderful thank you card and a brand new Garmin Nuvi 205w (GPS)! My piece of junk TomTom broke some time back. She said that it was for taking such good care of her when she was sick and while she was on bed rest. Awww. Too cool!

We are at Twin Peaks! We are all ready to watch the fights. I can’t wait to see Couture and Lesnar duke it out. It’s gonna be good! Just a few more pitchers until the fight starts! :). Lucky that I have a designated driver (pictured below).

Car seats ready

Author: Tom
11 10th, 2008

We have two fixed mounts for our baby carrier and one carrier. One mount is for my truck and one is for the minivan. Tammy wants to take the minivan to the hospital when it is time so the carrier is also in the minivan. I read both vehicle manuals and the car seat manual to familiarize myself with operation. We are waiting for seat protectors to arrive before tightening the seats in the vehicles. They are at a point that I only need to pull the harness tight if she should go in to labor soon. I feel like Neo in “The Matrix” - “I know Kung Fu!”
I have had that on my todo list for some time. I am relieved that I did it in time. She should be coming in about a month but has attempted to break out early already.

Finished voting

It took about an hour to vote this morning. Not that bad. We are already home.
We feel good that we did our part. The dissappointing part will be if it does not go my way. Oh well, that is why we vote. Not everyone will be happy.

Waiting to vote

The line isn’t thy bad. Only 40 or so ahead of us. Tammy is having to sit up on the sidewalk. I’m holding our place in line.
We would have voted early but we were playing around in the hospital and such…
