My sister hooked us up with a sonogram. I got some good video! It was really awesome and we both got to drive the machine. We saw legs, hands, mouth opening and closing, hiccups and the spine. It was all amazing!
Thanks Gena!

Mr. Hower was playing frisbee with us and I threw it bad and the little power thing in the picture (left) tackled him! OUCH! He is ok. Thank goodness!

Good morning

Author: Tom

We got up and fixed a bunch of coffee. Theresa and I pulled out the awning and replaced the strap that I broke the last time that I took the trailer out. Tammy is making pancakes and eggs. The boys estimated the time to be ten in the morning. I let them know that it was just 8.
They are playing with the football that we got at Dave and Busters. They have also utilized the tar out of the little rubber frisbee that we got for the trailer.
At six this morning, the dogs insisted that they had to go potty. When I took them out, there were dozens of squirrels in the trees. The trees are really big and nice. Not a cedar in sight. Ya have to love that!

Dinner is done

We finished dinner. Everyone went swimming but me. I got ice at the store. They are back from swimming. Phillip wants marshmallows and television. Brandon is bouncing around. But this is camping, guys. I guess its tough for kids to grasp.
I overheard something about the river tomorrow. I don’t know…

Our area

Just past our area is the river. I should say that it is just a dry piece. It is a nice drop off. Pretty view.

Tammy and I came with Theresa and the boys.
It is a nice park with a dog play area. It feels very natural here and it is quiet.
I have the trailer set up and everything is running at full steam.
I’ll try to update with better pictures later.

German food!

Ahhhh! My mom set us up when we got here. I am FULL. This was all Tammy’s fault. She requested everything.
In the back is German potato salad. In the metal bowl is some asparagus salad stuff. Then closer one bowl is noodles with breadcrumbs on it. Then the meat at the bottom. The meat is stuffed (new recipe). Oh! Almost forgot the gravy that is next to the noodles!
YUMMY!

Up since 04:00 today.

Author: Tom

I have been up since 04:00 this morning. The little dog woke me up and told me that she needed to go pp. I don’t push her to go back to sleep when she tells me because I can only imagine her bladder is the size of a pea. I reluctantly took them both outside. While outside, I heard a car alarm. I was not worried that it was ours because the keychain would also go off. I went out front to check what vehicle was going off and it was MINE! Darn it. The battery was dying since I have not been driving it. I guess the alarm notices a low voltage and yells until it cannot yell anymore. Tammy said that she heard the alarm at 03:00 so it had been going on for some time. Oops. I had to rush and get the charger to disable the alarm. It requires a full 12 volts to activate/deactivate the alarm. Sheesh. What a way to wake up. I’m sure the neighborhood loves me. So, the battery is fully charged now but I have been up since 04:00 running my head off.

  • 04:00 Mucking with the alarm.
05:00 Gas in Truck for weekend and car wash. Got breakfast for me (Tammy ate).
07:00 Picked up Anneliese TT and took it to the shop to get the stabilizer jack fixed.
08:20ish dropped off the trailer at the dealer and at 08:30 joined conference call.

11:45 Picked up Annelies TT from the dealer. Didn’t expect to get it today. Bummer.
12:15 Dropped it back off in storage.
    Pooped.
    12:55 Getting in shower.
  • We’ll see what the rest of the day has to offer! It’s been a boatload of fun so far… It’s nappy time (I wish)!

    06 20th, 2008

I was leaving to pick up the travel trailer for repair and noticed that there was a chip in my paint and a dent in my truck. The chip in the picture is on the bottom close to the tire. The dent is on the crease at the top. I’m bummed. Didn’t think it would happen so soon.

    Anneliese sticker!

I had the sticker for the trailer made today. I found a great spot on the 4″ rear bumper. It is black and the white letters will look great! The blue background is only the paper that is holding the white letters.

I was watching a Discovery Channel podcast and darned if I wasn’t amazed.  I realize this dude needs to eat in the wild but he could have warned me that he was gonna WHACK this little fella on the TREE! :)

    06 6th, 2008

It is so smooth that the tool that you see on the bumper, rode back there from storage to the dealer! I took the trailer to get the water heater fixed. This was a complete oversight but I got lucky! Can you believe that?

Here is a little video of me towing the travel trailer with the new Tundra. It did pretty good but the gas mileage stunk. It should get better as the engine gets broken in.

    Towing the trailer:
    161.6 miles @ 7.56 MPG (22.803 gallons)
    137.8 miles @ 8.74 MPG (15.764 gallons)
