I have implemented Gravatars.  They are simple universal pictures around the interwebs.  If you make a comment or a post somewhere, they do a quick MD5 checksum on your email address and incorporate that in the URL.  So, your email is safe and it is a simple lookup.  Gravatars are free.  They just work when you make a post somewhere that supports it.

WordPress 2.5+ have built-in support.  It’s really easy to do.  Here is how I did it:

Since I have been putting videos on the blog, I have to create the Flash video, upload the file, find the embed string that I have to paste in the post and then put it in the post for viewing. I use a computer. Computers should do work, not me. I wrote a Finder plugin with Automator that does all of my stuff for me. I just right-click on my Flash video and then select the correct plugin action. It renames the file and uses the Transmit actions to send the file to the server. Then it opens a TextEdit document with the entire text to paste in the document. Voila! Done. OS X rules!

We had a rough night yesterday. The good thing that came out of it was the extra ultrasound. She starts looking at the baby at about 06:30 in to the film. You really get to see cool stuff in this ultrasound as she measures everything and checks each part. This is really an extended ultrasound. Total time is around 12 minutes.

Ok, I have decided to post this because it is informational and could be helpful to another first time mother. This is the amount of blood that was in the urine. Tammy was 9w3d at this time. It freaked us out. This is major in our untrained opinion. I asked the doctor what the level of blood would cause great fear. His explanation was that if it is darker red and would fill a maxi-pad. This was just in the urine and no other leaking was there as Tammy wore a panty liner just in case. This is our experience and mileage will vary but I hope that other mothers can see what our experience is like.

Ultrasound and pelvic exam seems fine. Man, what a worry! I didn’t like this at all. We did get great ultrasound video though! Kid seems to have two arms and two legs. We got to see the umbilical cord and the miniturized yolk sac. The video should be GREAT!

We are still waiting. We did get all of the measuremets done and registered. She got to sign the paperwork electronically. That was neat. Now we are waiting again. It is 11:30 now. Come on people.

We are in the emergency room. Tammy had a bit of blood in her urine and had cramping today. We called our doctor. The responded promptly and instructed us to go to the emergency room. We got here at 9:52 and it is 10:26 already. I’m sure that we will be here for some time. We are both a bit bummed to be here right now. Not to mention Jesus is hanging out right behind me.

Not only is this video really cool, it is something that I cannot do.  I can’t draw a straight line with a pen/pencil let alone with a computer.

My poor baby is getting sold today. This is helping pay for the travel trailer. I also have to be a bit more careful since I have a baby coming. It is hard enough when one person depends on you but now there are two. I will still do crazy stuff in my life (read skydiving, SCUBA, motocross) but not on the street where I can’t control the majority of the variables. I am taking a huge loss on this bike but I have had safe fun on it. All gear is included in my sale in hopes that the young fellow buying it will also be safe.

So Tammy’s curret nickname is Mack. We live close to a Mack truck place and I have been keeping my eye on it as I knew that mother’s day was coming up. I got her the REAL emblem for the front of the grill. I will hang this above her side of the bed in the travel trailer (Anneliese)! Cool, huh?

My mother called last Saturday and asked that I send a couple of sonogram pictures to her Walmart and have them developed. As I am well trained, I did not ask questions and did exactly that. Apparently she was having mugs made for us. How sweet!

The view was beautiful but the Mother’s Day luncheon was sub par. It was expensive and a buffet style. Even while buffet style, one could have one small helping. Taste was not that great either. Bad move but beautiful view.

This is Tammy’s new working location for some time as she has had morning sickness. It is between the couch and bed. Poor girl.
